2025 Scowcroft Pandemic Conference
The Scowcroft Institute of International Affairs at Texas A&M University invites you to attend the 2025 Pandemic Policy Summit examining the ongoing H5N1 outbreak across the U.S. Dairy industry. This summit will bring together experts from government, academia, and industry to review the response efforts, discuss current challenges and opportunities, and identify options for moving forward. Listen to panels of subject matter experts, explore case studies from the field, and participate in networking opportunities.

Conference Aims:
- Create a forum to discuss the new operational context (i.e., regional epidemic, post-pandemic) and use this as the lens to consider current and future preparedness and response efforts for a pandemic.
- Provide a forum to provide current situational awareness and analysis of the H5N1 response to identify areas of success, lessons observed and those where improvement are needed to improve the efforts in future outbreaks.
- Facilitate a multilateral summit for policy professionals from industry, government (i.e., federal, state, and local) public health and healthcare, emergency / disaster preparedness, veterinary medicine, and agriculture can openly discuss current pandemic policy-related issues.
- Raise awareness about bright spots—parts of the response that worked well and can be replicated in the future.
- Identify and drive action on the top three to five priorities to enhance the response efforts with the ongoing outbreak and outbreaks in the future
