Brandy Sebesta

Biography

Brandy Sebesta is the Assistant Director for the USA Center for Rural Public Health Preparedness. She has managed a wide range of public health projects during her time at Texas A&M University. This has involved supervising personnel, directing staff activities, facilitating team meetings, conducting training and research activities, as well as managing the fiscal aspects of grants and contracts. Throughout her career, Brandy has actively engaged with various communities, state and local public health agencies, and other key stakeholder groups across the nation. Her collaborative approach involves forging strong partnerships and fostering cooperation in community activities and training programs centered around preparedness and response. Brandy has six years of experience working with Tribal Nations in South Dakota and Texas. Serving as a liaison between the USA Center and the Tribal partners, she has played a pivotal role in planning and coordinating Tribal Summits. These summits have covered a range of critical topics, from risk communication to addressing emergency preparedness focus areas in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic.
