Biography
Dr. Washburn is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management at the Texas A&M University School of Public Health. A former Peace Corps Volunteer, he has also worked in the nonprofit sector and health care systems on the West Coast. He has served as PI or Co-PI on over $7 million in extramural funding, including an evaluation of the Texas Public Health Risk Assessment Tool. His research focuses on health access for vulnerable populations.
He received both a ScD in Global Health and Population and a MS in Population and International Health from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and a BA in International Relations from Brown University.
