The goal of this training is for Emergency Management Coordinators to be better prepared to work with Justices of the Peace, Local Health Departments, and other important partners by emphasizing the critical components involved in a Mass Fatality Incident.

After completing this module, you will be able to:
- Define critical terminology related to their roles and the roles of others in planning for and responding to a mass fatality incident
- Recognize acronyms used frequently by all parties involved in mass fatality management
- Distinguish the basic differences between the roles of Emergency Management Coordinators, Justices of the Peace, and Local Health Departments
- Identify specific roles of the Emergency Management Coordinator in mass fatality operations
- Describe the Emergency Management Coordinator role with regard to legal and jurisdictional responsibilities
- Explain the Emergency Management Coordinator role regarding establishment of a Family Reception Center (FRC), Family Assistance Center (FAC) and Victim Information Center (VIC)
