Public Health Emergency Preparedness
Description
This course covers different types of public health emergencies and how to prepare for these different types of disasters. This course also covers the fundamental importance of preparing for a disaster early, both to save resources and to reduce casualties.

After completing this course, you should be able to:
- Define a public health emergency
- Describe the key features of the national Laboratory Response Network (LRN)
- Identify the federal agencies responsible for coordinating the response to a public health threat, and describe their individual roles
Intended Audience
Public health and emergency management personnel who want a basic understanding of preparing for a public health emergency event. No prior experience is required.
